Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)
A Brachioplasty reshapes the upper arms by removing excess skin and fat, resulting in a more toned and proportionate appearance. It is often sought after weight loss or due to age-related skin laxity.
How Is This Procedure Performed?
Performed under general anaesthesia, an incision is made along the inside of the upper arm to remove excess tissue and tighten the skin.
Downtime
Recovery typically takes 1–2 weeks for light activities, with avoidance of strenuous use of the arms for several weeks.
Scars
Scars run along the inner arm and whilst well concealed, are permanent and not be invisible.
Risks and complications
These may include swelling, infection, abnormal scarring, asymmetry and temporary or permanent changes in sensation.
